# Components:
→ Turkey Patties
01 - 1 pound ground turkey
02 - 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
03 - 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
04 - 1 large egg
05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
06 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
07 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
08 - 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
→ Garlic Butter
09 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
10 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
11 - 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh chives (optional)
12 - 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
13 - Pinch of salt
→ Assembly
14 - 8 slider buns
15 - 8 slices cheddar cheese or provolone cheese
16 - 1 cup baby arugula or lettuce
17 - 1 medium tomato, sliced
18 - 1/4 cup mayonnaise (optional)
# Directions:
01 - In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, parsley, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Mix just until blended, taking care not to overwork.
02 - Divide turkey mixture evenly into 8 portions and form each into a patty slightly wider than the slider buns.
03 - In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, chives if using, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
04 - Heat a large non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Spread half of the garlic butter inside the slider buns, then toast them buttered side down in the skillet until golden. Set toasted buns aside.
05 - Add a small amount of oil to the skillet if needed. Cook the turkey patties for 3 to 4 minutes per side until fully cooked and golden.
06 - During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover the pan to allow cheese to melt.
07 - Spread the remaining garlic butter onto the tops of the cooked patties or buns, as preferred.
08 - Layer arugula or lettuce on the bottom bun, add a turkey patty, then a slice of tomato and a dollop of mayonnaise if desired. Finish with the top bun.
09 - Serve the turkey burger sliders warm for best flavor.
