# Components:

01 - 2 cups cooked, mashed potatoes (approximately 12.3 oz or 350 g), preferably leftovers

→ Meats

02 - 1 cup cooked ham, finely chopped (about 5.3 oz or 150 g)

→ Vegetables & Aromatics

03 - 1 small onion, finely diced
04 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

→ Pantry & Bindings

05 - 1 large egg
06 - 1/3 cup all-purpose flour (approximately 1.4 oz or 40 g), plus extra for dusting
07 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
08 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

# Directions:

01 - In a large bowl, mix mashed potatoes, chopped ham, diced onion, parsley if using, egg, flour, salt, and pepper until a thick, uniform mixture forms.
02 - Using floured hands, shape the mixture into eight patties, each approximately 2.5 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick. Lightly dust each with flour.
03 - Warm oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
04 - Place patties in skillet without overcrowding and fry for 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp.
05 - Transfer cooked patties to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat. Serve immediately while hot.
