04 - 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
05 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
06 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
07 - 1/2 cup whole milk
08 - 1/4 cup vegetable oil
09 - 2 large eggs
10 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
11 - 1/2 cup hot water
→ Assembly
12 - 1 1/2 cups marshmallow fluff or 8 large marshmallows
13 - 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
14 - 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
15 - 2 tablespoons coconut oil (optional, for smoother coating)
16 - Colored candy melts (green, purple, orange, etc.)
17 - Candy eyes
18 - Sprinkles
19 - Assorted monster-themed decorations
20 - 16 lollipop sticks
# Directions:
01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined.
03 - Add whole milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are well-incorporated. Stir in hot water until the batter is smooth and uniform.
04 - Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center emerges clean. Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan.
05 - Crumble the cooled cake into a large mixing bowl. Add marshmallow fluff, or melt marshmallows in the microwave for 20 seconds and combine. Use your hands to mix until the texture is sticky and cohesive.
06 - Roll the mixture into 1.5-inch balls. Insert a lollipop stick firmly into each ball and place on a parchment-lined tray. Freeze for 15 minutes to allow the pops to firm up.
07 - In a microwave-safe bowl, melt semisweet chocolate chips with coconut oil, if using, heating in 30-second increments and stirring between each until fully smooth.
08 - Dip each chilled cake pop into the melted chocolate mixture, allowing excess coating to drip off. Immediately sprinkle all sides with graham cracker crumbs for texture.
09 - Use melted colored candy melts, candy eyes, sprinkles, and monster-themed decorations to create playful faces and details on each pop.
10 - Place coated pops upright in a styrofoam block or glass and let them cool until the chocolate is firmly set before serving.
